Custom Fitting:
The comprehensive fitting process is one of the essential cornerstones to learning and progressing in my Golf Academy. All fittings are done at Fore The Golfer by Jeffrey Shuster.
The process begins with a series of specific questions designed to probe deeper into the issues affecting your game. Such as, determine your weaknesses, your strengths, what your short and long term goals are, as well as a few more game specific questions ensuring the basics are covered.
Our next step is to address your current set make-up. By acquiring the current equipment specifications (Woods, Irons, Hybrids, Wedges, Putter) we now have a starting point by which we can determine if your set make-up is optimized. We determine what the spine alignments on your shafts are, check to see your lie/loft are consistent across the set, we chart out the lengths, swing weights, as well as determine the true flex of the clubs, measure to see if your club flexes are frequency matched across each club, finally measure your golf club grip size.
The completion of this process allows us to eliminate one of the most inconsistent variables in your golf game, the clubs. Jeffrey and I are then given a report with all the above information from which we determine where the problems lie and address them. With this issue resolved I will help you reach your potential as a golfer.
After this is complete, we are ready to begin the swing assessment as well as complete a process called “Golf Club Mapping”. “Golf Club Mapping” is the process by which you hit a number of shots with every club in your bag from driver to the wedges resulting in an average for each club. The data is then compiled using the Vector Launch Monitor producing a blueprint for each club and your entire golf game.
During this process I will be present to gain some initial insight on your golf swing and cross reference this with the information compiled by the “Golf Club Mapping” session. The data resulting from the Golf Club Mapping session acts as a baseline or benchmark and will serve as the basis for future lessons and helps to monitor and track ones progress throughout the lessons.
